burning ISO image

I used to use K3B for burning ISO images and when I run K3B in ubuntu,
it asked me to run K3Bsetup to set cdrecord and cdrdao. But after I
entered the root password, I did not get any further response from K3B.
Any idea how to solve it? 

Also is there any other package for burning ISO ?  I tried eroaster
already, but it just stopped even before start burning the cd.
