Ahh, yes but surely since both ethernet ports work out of the box, so to speak,
the installer should do DCHP on each of them?  That might save on
confusion too, and probably would only be a minor tweak in the installer
scripts.

What happens, say, in the case where a laptop has both a wireless and a
wired connection, only one of which works.  What does the installer do
then?
