Hi, I'm having problems with the keyboard layout with all Spanish
machines from Apple I was able to test.
The main problem is that in console the default installation choose the
mac-usb-es keymap and XFree86 the "macintosh" Model with those layouts
I'm not able to use the AltGr key so I'm not able to type: \|@#~½/€¢ and
other chars and some other keys are not mapped correctly.
I tested it with iBooks, PowerBooks and an iMac TFT
I was talking with fabio about it and he says that we need a reliable
way to detect it so we don't break anything else.
The bugreports about this problem are:
XFree86: https://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1690
Console: https://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1171
I have the same problem with a stock Debian, please, if you know how
could we detect when should be used a pc or a macintosh keyboard lets us
know it. Also, if you don't have this problem (with a layout that it's
causing problems to other people, like Spanish and German), please, add
your machine information to the bug report.
Thank you.
