Thinkpad T20 install woes

Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately, either and/or both actions make no difference at all.

I've posted all the relevant details from my original email - hope that's the 
right thing to do.

Also, I got the relevant output from lspci etc. but didn't know wether to 
include them in the message and couldn't figure out how to attach them.

Would you like them?
