alsa error

Then Ubuntu boots i get the following error:

alsactl: load_state:1134: no soundcard found

then i try to alsamixer i will get the following error: 

alsamixer: function snd_ctl_open failed for default: No such device

I have laptop Dell Latitude C619 with the intel 82801CA / CAM AV' 97

Any ideas how to get sound? thanks
