Airport and Network not working (yet)

Hi everybody,

straight to the point! has anybody got Airport working on an Apple 
desktop computer either iMac or G3?  If yes how?
I have tried also connecting my adsl router directly with ethernet but 
also no luck.

It seems to me also that the network administration utility  needs some 
attention as it crashes from time o time.

A part from that, as well as the known sound issues, this really  looks 
like the Linux distro I have been waiting to come for a long time...
