Failed install on Blue-White Yosemite PPC

I have tried installing Ubuntu PPC on my Blue and White, 300MHz
(early) Yosemite G3.  I first had a problem with eth being detected
and used the "modprobe bmac" discussed on another post.  That worked
O.K.

After initial reboot I got the following message:

I have had Debian 3.1 Sarge running on this computer.
