/usr/sbin/pppoeconf

Today I've installed Ubuntu and configured my ADSL-connection
with /usr/sbin/pppoeconf. At first sight everything seemed to be ok and I
could access the internet. But after rebooting my machine the connection to
the internet wasn't restarted (as I configured).

Obviously the file /etc/ppp/ppp_on_boot.dsl is missing; /etc/init.d/ppp tries
to call /etc/ppp/ppp_on_boot which is supposed to be a symbolic link
to /etc/ppp/ppp_on_boot.dsl

Unfortunately I even establish the internet connection manually since pon
gives an error message that the loading of some plugin isn't supported by the
kernel (sorry, I don't remember the exact error message).

Does anyone uses Ubuntu with an ADSL-connection and is there a solution for
this problem?
