no luck with ppc-G4

Hallo,
i tried to install ubuntu on my:G4 "sawtooth"with 1.4 Ghz upgrade 
card,1.38 ram,2 hd's.
Everything works fine until reboot.
I can select Linux in Yaboot[OSX too] and than get this:

Thats it
I succeded in installing Debian "sarge" rc1 [ no sound ]
but after updating to unstable i got the same message.
It's a pity because ubuntu looks realy nice.
Any suggestions?
