atmelwlandriver

Hi, 

I just installed ubuntu and am very impressed -- it's a great first
effort, and close to an ideal match with my own personal preferences. 
My problem is, I can't figure out how to get the atmelwlandriver to
build.  I have a wusb device from Linksys (WUSB11 v2.6) that I know
works with Linux because I previously had it working on this machine
with 2.6.5 on a different distro with the atmelwlandriver source that
is available from sourceforge.

I haven't tried much so far, but on the list I see people from
canonical saying to complain if some hardware isn't detected
correctly.  So here I am.
