I agree. If Ubuntu is the only OS on the drive that was detected
during install, a 3 second timeout and not displaying the menu is
probably just fine. But, if it isn't the only OS detected, displaying
the menu with a 5 or 10 second timeout would be a lot friendlier
(graphical splash background for grub anyone)?
