newibook G4 1Ghz 12.1" screen flicker off default install

Hi all,

I have a brand-new ibook 1Ghz G4 12.1", I did a
default install of ubuntu and all my screen does is
flicker between something half-readable and vertical
white lines across the screen, Hopefully someone out
there can point me into the right direction for a fix.

I would really really appreciate this!
