Ubuntu Linux under MS Virtual PC 2004

Matt,

Thanks for your response, I would like to use the method you suggested.

How do you recommend I get to a command prompt?

As a side note, is there a default password for root?  I don't remember setting it.  (I understand 
sudo will allow me to do some root commands)
