First Impressions i386 and amd64

i386 - Installed perfectly on my IBM Thinkpad r50. Thanks for the 
atheros drivers. I installed the kernel-source and have the fglrx 
drivers working now as well. I changed the root password, but hte GUI 
system apps error out after the password prompt with a '-1' in the error 
message.

amd64 - unable to install. The CD won't recognize my SATA hard drive. 
The motherboard is NForce3 250 based.
