cdrecord???

I prefer cdrecord over the nautilus burner... for me it's either k3b,
cdrecord, or nuthin' :)

I'm just trying to understand why cdrecord -scanbus returns nothing...
but thanks for the pointer.  That does allow me to burn, finally.  But
why doesn't cdrecord -scanbus return anything useful?  I must be missing
something obvious as usual.
