Can't Set Return Address In Mutt

This is strange.

I've used Mutt with many other distros and I've never had this
problem. With Ubuntu, no matter how I set my options, my return
address stays "david at localhost.localdomain".

Here are the pertinent options from my ~/.muttrc:

set realname = "David M. Carney"
set from = "david at n1zhe.org"
set hostname = "n1zhe.org"

Why does it keep saying that I'm "david at localhost.localdomain" in my
return address?

David
