italian-speaking Ubuntu GNU/Linux mailing list

hi,

in the past fwe days i've been trying to count italian people here and
on #ubuntu on irc to see if we are enough to set up an italian speaking
list.

About ten people contacted me, and i know for sure of other people who
will be glad to join such a list.

My questions are: 
is it enough? who manages the list creation? can anyone please tell if
it is possible to do it?
