Yes, and new installer improvements will be made in addition. However, do
not expect to be able to install Hoary directly from CD in the near future.
For some time, the only available installation method for Hoary will be to
install Warty and then upgrade.
If the problem is in detecting your CD-ROM, you might try an Ubuntu network
install.

If you are having a problem with intsallation, we would appreciate the
opportunity to debug it. If your bug is similar to one which is already
reported, please add your experiences and participate in the process of
isolating the bug. If it is not, please file a new one so that we can track
down your problem.
Don't assume that merging with the Sarge installer will fix your problem;
there are other differences between Debian and Ubuntu.

This bug doesn't have enough information to determine what the problem might
be.

Both of these bugs appear to be kernel issues, and would not be fixed by a
new release of the installer. It may be that it is not present in kernel
2.4, which is (I believe) used by default in sarge.
