Evolution not filtering spam

i now have the following problem with evolution, spamassassin and
spam-mails. i made sure that spamd is running because i can see the
following entry owned by a local user within my running processes: > spamd --port 7830 --daemonize.
considering the post written by colin (10-26-2004 12:35 PM) in this
thread i made sure that spamassassin was trained with ham mails as
well. so i made a new folder called "ham" in evolution, moved a lot of
hams into it and in the shell i did a simple
Code:
--------------------
sudo sa-learn --ham --mbox /home/user/.evolution/mail/local/Inbox.sbd/ham
--------------------
with the result that spamassassin learned from 583 messages which
should be enough to get the baysian filter initialised.
additionally, i did manually train the filter with spams as well
Code:
--------------------
sudo sa-learn --spam --mbox /home/user/.evolution/mail/local/Inbox.sbd/spam
--------------------
(even though i hit the "junk" button in evolution quite often already)
with the result that spam-assassin learned from about 450 spam mails.
i daily get about 70 spam mails and i know that the filter is up and
running because about 5 % of the incoming spam mails are filtered
correctly and therefore moved into the junk folder. but that's way too
bad. i continue marking the mails which spamassassin falsely classified
as ham as junk by hitting the button in evolution, however, nothing
noticeable did change.
anyone how has experienced something similar?
thanks all
