hmmm... would it not be the best to put a note on the downloadside or in
the wiki with following text:

"Please be sure to activate lba or large for your hdd-settings in your
bios before installing ubuntu because not doing it will make it
impossible to boot your windows on dual-boot-systems!"

^^ because i am from germany in doesnt sound so good but points to the
problem because thats everything you got to do. nothing more.
i dont know to much about the kernel-problem itself but thats the
workarround for it. i dont see any cause for writing more about the
problem itself. i just looked at the link to this artikel and if you ask
me: no newbie will ever understand the artikel or maybe its unnecessary
to understand it if you are only interessted in the solution of the
problem :-) but thats me :-)
