Hi All,
I just installed Ubuntu and it seems to work great !
I have just one problem through, my scanner is not
recognized !
My scanner is a Canon Lide30 (usb) which is supported
by Sane (-plustek?), and was working fine with
Mandrake 10.
When i startup xsane or kooka, the only choice i get
is my wecam (usb).
The references i found to scanner are:
(locate scanner)
/usr/share/doc/libsane/umax/sane-umax-scanner-clones-doc.html
/usr/share/icons/Human/scalable/devices/gnome-dev-scanner.svg
/usr/lib/ruby/1.8/rss/xmlscanner.rb
/etc/hotplug/usb/libusbscanner
/etc/devfs/conf.d/scanner
/.dev/usb/scanner0
/.dev/usb/scanner1
/.dev/usb/scanner2
/.dev/usb/scanner3
/.dev/usb/scanner4
/.dev/usb/scanner5
/.dev/usb/scanner6
/.dev/usb/scanner7
/.dev/usb/scanner8
/.dev/usb/scanner9
/.dev/usb/scanner10
/.dev/usb/scanner11
/.dev/usb/scanner12
/.dev/usb/scanner13
/.dev/usb/scanner14
/.dev/usb/scanner15
(why is it /.dev and not /dev...?)
(i tried to make a folder /dev/usb and make symbolic
links to /.dev/usb/scanners .. and one link in /dev ,
but it didnt do nothing..)
dmesg | grep usb
usb 1-2.1: control timeout on ep0out
How can I solve this problem ?
Where do I start ??
Thanks ..
