soundblaster live issue and wlan card.

Thanks for your help.  I'm am guessing my chances with the wireless
card are pretty hopeless, but getting sound on my main machine is more
important to me right now.  However I'm still having problems with
that, too...  (see below)

I do have snd_pcm_oss loaded, and I have also tried using alsa as the
xmms output plugin-- both to no effect.  I also have no system sounds
or CD audio.  I was wondering if my onboard i850 sound that i don't
use might be conflicting with it somehow.  I don't know if it will
