PPC install does not find my keyboard

Hello,

I have just try to install ubuntu on my powermac g4 2x867 , and that 
fail at the first question (language): the usb keyboard gives absolutely 
no response.

Is there on option to put at boot, or a special magic solution? (Appart 
from remaking a cd with personnal kernel, solution i will use in last 
ressort).

Here the information about my computer.

machine         : PowerMac3,6
motherboard     : PowerMac3,6 MacRISC2 MacRISC Power Macintosh
