Browsing shares on a Windows 2000 machine

Well, I have this problem too.
I can browse the smb share from a debian sarge machine, but I can't
access the smb share from a w2000. "Permission denied". And this 3
machines are in the same workgroup.
I thought it was w2000 fault, but the problem you're describing here
corresponds exactly with my experience.
