Done, still the same, I have logged a bug report for this.
the logged in Ubuntu user, is completely different to the user that is
in the Windows 2003 active directory.

According to one of the bug reports that has been entered (not sure if
it was Debian or Ubuntu), it reported this as a gnome-vfs problem (but i
could be wrong), will try it with vi/nano on Monday when I'm back at work.
