hey, it's not me that people will expect support from ;-)

Personally I will track the next developer version on my test machine 
and use the current stable on work machines until the unstable becomes 
pretty stable but some people want all the stability of the release 
version and all the software of the unstable version.  These people will 
always be tempted by backports.
