Re-detecting the video card

Hi!

I've replaced the video card in one of my Ubuntu boxes. Now I wonder: Is
there any way to configure it 100% automatically, just like during the
installation process?

I know about dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86, but I'd hope that if
video configuration can be done automatically during installation it
might be doable afterwards too. Is there any way to do it?

Thanks in advance,

-martin
