i think i have come across info on 3Com Winmodems that they will never
work on existing linmodem drivers on LInux. i myself have a t20 with
3com combo card, and my modem is not working under linux. tough luck

you need a Lucent chipset winmodem, then the Linmodem project files
will be working.
