http://www.debian.org/distrib/packages#view is a pretty big list :)

There are many sources for .debs out there, though.  For example, to
view the ubuntu offerings (assuming your sources.list file points to
ubuntu and is current) try this:

$ dselect

Read the directions on how to use it from within the app.
