boot time errors (hotplug probs?)

I encountered the same error messages. After having spent a right while
googling, I eventually found a solution: you can blacklist the two
modules, they are not needed anyway
(http://lists.debian.org/debian-kernel/2004/09/msg00009.html). Do the
following to get rid of the messages:

- create a new text file, call it e.g. blacklist
- copy the following two lines into it and save it:
pciehp
shpchp
- put the file into /etc/hotplug/blacklist.d
- reboot

... and the annyoing errror messages should be gone :-)
