Getting totem to play divx / xvid

Seems that ubuntu standard install chooses  totem-gstreamer, i installed totem-xine and all works as it should right now.

fdb at ubuntu:/etc $ sudo apt-get install totem
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
The following extra packages will be installed:

The following packages will be REMOVED:
  [b:95eb9d8eb9]totem-gstreamer[/b:95eb9d8eb9] ubuntu-desktop

  totem totem-xine
0 upgraded, 2 newly installed, 2 to remove and 1 not upgraded.

hope this helps you out, i do have a problem playing mpeg files, i only get a blue screen. But playing the file in [b:95eb9d8eb9]gxine[/b:95eb9d8eb9] works as it should
