Startup Programs in "Session" not running

Could this be because I'm using sudo in the script? Sudo needs to have
the password in "memory" right, so how could it run the commands in
the script without me typing in the password. The scripts in 'Startup
Programs' run user, right? If that's the case, is there any way to run
root protected programs at startup? FYI, the command in the script is
something like:

sudo mount -t smbfs -o
rw,uid=(user),username=(user),password=(password) //server/share
/(mount point)

I've tried without sudo, and that doesn't work either.
