I lost my keyboard down button

I was customizing some keyboard shortcuts and accidentally hit the
down arrow when a shortcut was selected. I removed it, but now the
down key doesn't work any more - as in, I can navigate menus etc with
up down right and left, but not down. How can I get my down arrow
back?
