Mark,

Thank you for making a decision which will allow me to feel confident 
about promoting Ubuntu to as many people as possible.

The decision cannot have been an easy one. The quality of the artwork 
and its association with the meaning of "Ubuntu" suggests that you did 
not choose it lightly.

It gives me confidence that Ubuntu is being developed by a company which 
listens to the community. It's to be hoped that this will continue bring 
the best of both commercial and community based  approaches to Ubuntu.

I think Ubuntu has a bright future. Many small time Linux distros come 
and go, but I don't think Ubuntu is one of those. It's ideas are bigger, 
but so is the execution of those ideas.

Keep developing and innovating, and we'll be able to show people out 
there that there _is_ an alternative to Microsoft etc. and that it's one 
which gives more than lip service to giving priority to the needs of the 
users.
