What was the outcome of the Ubuntu commnuity Artwork meeting?

I don't give any official statement, but I want to point out that the
most recent ubuntu-artwork packages reverted to the preview Gnome
splash screen and that the gdm background has been replaced as well
(not to the preview one, but without any creatures at all, and IMHO
very nice).

Today's CD images already contain it and upgrading the ubuntu-artwork
package should change the backgrounds as well (unless you manually
changed it).
