Ubuntu Backgrounds

I visit the wiki often and haven't seen any mention of the monthly
backgrounds there, so I'll ask here. Are they going to REPLACE the
previous image every month or just add the new image?

Also, in many cases the old artwork is probably still on your computer
in this location:

/var/cache/apt/archives

I don't think those get deleted unless you specifically configure it
that way. I'm pretty sure you can just unpack the contents of a .deb
file, but I haven't tried yet. If I'm giving bad advice, somebody
please smack me. :-)
