The other thing about wikis is that they leverage the heck out of
something analogous to Aahz's law.  If you get a half-right explanation
up there, it encourages anyone who can improve it to do so.  At least I
know *I* find it very much easier to hack on something that's there
than to start something cold.  Well, most of the time (he said,
thinking of that long-overdue book review that "just needs some
editing, maybe rewrite one bit" - but that's the other hard part of
writing, which is finishing, and since wikis are never finished...).
