Oh, please try Fn+F12. BTW, my F12 key has an extra "eject" symbol on
it.
A nice GUI to change the key assignments, and many other stuff, is the
"powerprefs" package (universe). Start it with "sudo powerprefs" to
allow writing the configuration file.
There is currently no GUI to change the middle and right mouse button
emulation. This is configured in /etc/sysctl.conf.
