muine oddness

Ok. I know these packages are unsupported but just wondering if anyone
else has encountered this problem. I can run muine from a terminal and
it works fine but if I launch it from the menu as an application there
is no sound. Looking at the application command it is "muine" which is
what I'm entering at the terminal. Any clues as to what's happening
here? Thanks,
