all,
i've tried this method w/out any success (ibm thinkpad 600x
w/trackpoint)
i got a ps/2 mouse.
1. i want to enable the ps/2 scroll mouse
2. still keep the trackpoint active.
dont know exact parameters to feed dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86.
tried it last night...tried several iterations w/out success.
i seem to remember this a linux list, so can please restrain
ourselves
as regards this stupid background issue.
if i hear about it again, i will hurl.
the discussion has snr waaaaaaay to hi...
i am sick of it and no longer care if they got clothes or loin
cloths on!!!
stop it....
who cares....

I'm not sure what the best or official way to do it is, but I've learned
since messing with ubuntu that one way to do it is:
as root or sudo-ing in a terminal:
dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86
I just had to do that today when I tried some different video cards.
