Oh?  What happens when you add "rtc" to /etc/modules?

This has been available for amd64 for some time now:

linux-restricted-modules-2.6.8.1 (2.6.8.1.3-1) warty; urgency=low

  * s/Debian/Ubuntu/ in some readme files
  * Add nvidia amd64 modules
