Monthly calander desktop background?

I dont get it.  whats so special about the calander destop images? 
Mine look the same as all the others.  I keep hearing everyong talk
about semi transparent images and stuff?

mine is just the normal brown image with those semi nude people on
them.  its an awesome desktop background but i dont get whats so
amazing about it.  i was expecting something pertinant to october or
something monthly where as this doesnt look like it has anything to do
with the calander.
