Anyone know how to remaster the CD with previous images?

  I've been thinking in terms of some dirty tricks with boot scripts (I 
know - ugly) to get around that - but (not having yet tried) I'm not 
sure how apt handles conflicts when a script which is part of a package 
has been edited if that script gets upgraded. Having said that it might 
be possible to add a completely new script which isn't part of any 
package but which stll gets run - I assume a symlink in one of the rc.d 
directories would achieve that? (Not at my Ubuntu system to check right 
now).

I know this is a kludge but if it works and doesn't interfere with 
anything else...
