Nvidia Dependencies

Updated kernel to:

Linux-Image-2.6.8.1-3-k7

Rebooted under new kernel

Xserver wouldnt start (Which I expected because would have to reload
NVIDIA drivers for my video card).  So I reinstalled Nvidia-Glx. 
Xserver wouldnt still come up.  If I boot into default kernel
Linux-Image-2.6.8.1-3-386.  XServer works fine.  So whats the issue
here?

Also I notcied that when I removed Linux-Image-2.6.8.1-3-386 it
uninstalls Nvidia-glx.  So obviousy there is some dependency issue
going on here that is locking NVidia users to only use the
Linux-Image-2.6.8.1-3-386 kernel.

Is this a problem or am I doing someting drastically wrong.
