How-to create a PDF printer at Ubuntu?

Install the "cups-pdf" package (either from Synaptic or apt-get).

Restart the cups system.  I don't know how to or even if you can do this
graphically.  I use "sudo /etc/inid.d/cupsys restart".

Then go to Computer->System Configuration->Printing and select "New
Printer".  You should now have a choice for PDF Printer.
