I think they should make this package in such a way it doesn't uninstall
the totem-gstreamer one. I have seen in Fedora that they accomplished
it and that you can use both methods at the same time. If you want to
use the gstreamer you need to pass some parameter.
Even though I understand the position of Canonical where if you are
changing something is because you know what you are doing, I think it is
not the case here. People just want to watch a dvd or whatever,
specially those that come from Windows world. They do whatever is
necessary to accomplish this. Because of this package, most of the
people is going to miss something because of not having the meta package
installed.
