If you have discovered Thunderbird 1.0 you should quickly hire a
patent lawyer and patent your time machine. Imagine the development
costs that could be saved by traveling into the future and coming back
with a laptop full of code!
The of course, people won't code, cause the code comes to the future,
and thus the code will never be written, so you'll have a laptop full
of nothing. Or maybe you'll have something. Hey you're the guy with
the time machine, so how does this temporal mechanics thing work?
Anyway, as Dave said, Thunderbird 0.8 is the current Thunderbird
release. Perhaps you're thinking about Firefox, which the current
version is 1.0 Preview Release 1, but Ubuntu has 0.92 or something?
There was a reason for not going with Firefox 0.9x instead of 1.0RP1
(The preview release is improtant! It's not quite a final version!),
something security related I think.
