Okay, so say that the problem is that we've all been looking at what we
*thought* was the default (and a nice, low-key, uncontroversial one it
was), and all of a sudden it turns out that that was just the default
for when the default selection isn't available.

My only objection to the new background is that it's obtrusive.  (well,
and maybe too dark - I don't have a machine with that update handy here
to check my recollection) I don't want something that draws attention
to itself as my desktop background.  I can always fire up a screensaver
when I do want distraction.  :-)
