Hi,
I disagree. The new background fits Ubuntu perfectly. It shows humans
caring about each other, regardless of the color of their skin. It isn't
sexual or explict. Where ever you are in the world I think it is a good
image to start your day with.
The way I see it Ubuntu is about progress. Technical progress, yes. But
also progress in society. Creating free software can be about scrathing
your own itch (and hoping someone will help you doing that). It can also
be about providing oppurtunities for those who have too few. In other
words: ubuntu.
It is good to be different if you want to be remembered. If you want
change it is neccessary. To quote Frank Zappa:
"Progress is impossible without deviation from the norm."
