Request to join the documentation team

Hello all.  I am an IT manager with 10+ years experience.  I would like to
contribute to your excellent project by assisting in preparing documentation.  I
have found a link to the documentation Team on the Ubuntlinux site
(http://www.ubuntulinux.org/community/teams/documentation) but I cannot discern
how to sign up or volunteer for the team.  

I would very much appreciate any guidance you can provide.  In the meantime,
count me amongst the multitude who appreciate all your hard work.  Thank you
very much for making Debian a reality on my Dell D500!
